Upon arrival, a trip to Dongtou would be incomplete without visiting the beach. Located in the eastern part of Da Shaao in Beiao Town, the beach boasts fine, flat sand, a wide expanse of sea, and a small tidal range. In summer, thousands of tourists flock here daily to enjoy the water and waves. Upon reaching the beach, my colleagues immediately bought swimsuits and rushed into the sea. The waves splashing on the surface filled them with excitement. Some buried themselves in the sand, others chased the waves, and some splashed water at each other. A wave crashed down, hitting one of my colleagues and causing him to choke on some seawater. "It's so salty!" he exclaimed involuntarily, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
On September 5, 2014, to express gratitude for the hard work of company employees, the company held a one-day thank-you trip to Dongtou Island.
Among the seven counties and cities under Wenzhou's jurisdiction, Dongtou is unique. One hundred and three islands of various sizes, like sparkling pearls, are scattered along the beautiful coast of the East China Sea. Since ancient times, ships have been the mobile bridge connecting the outside world. The island people are simple and honest, with doors left unlocked at night and no lost and found items.
“A bridge flies across north and south, turning the natural barrier into a thoroughfare.” On September 5th, company colleagues drove to Dongtou, releasing their spirits in the salty sea breeze.
The Lingni Beidi embankment on the road, more than a thousand kilometers long, is like a white rainbow spanning the sea. Nearby, the muddy seawater endlessly washes against the rugged embankment; in the distance, where the water meets the sky, seagulls fly low, and the seawater spreads layer by layer, becoming bluer the farther it extends, finally merging with the blue sky in the distance…
Crossing the embankment, we arrive at the vast East China Sea's Dongtou. Dongtou's scenery is picturesque and charming, known for its "unique islands, beautiful reefs, fine beaches, deep caves, abundant fish, and numerous birds." The unique geographical conditions have created a scenic landscape. Listening to the waves, observing the reefs, and appreciating the seascape is truly refreshing and invigorating. Standing on the strange reefs and looking into the distance, one can see the sea and sky blending together in the distance, with fishing boats dotted here and there; nearby, seagulls gather, the tide surges, and waves crash against rocks, like jade shattering, emitting a loud roar, a magnificent scene. The island scenery is truly extraordinary.
Dongtou has many scenic spots, including Banping Mountain, Xiandie Rock, Daqu Island, Zhuyu Island, Damen Island, the Sea West Lake, and East Sha, among seven major attractions. I never tire of seeing Xiandie Rock.
After arriving, visiting Dongtou without going to the beach is like not having been to Dongtou at all. The beach is located in the east of Beiao Town, the county seat, at Dashaoao Beach. Here, the sand is fine and flat, the sea is open, and the tidal range is small. In summer, thousands of tourists come here every day to swim and play in the waves. Arriving at the beach, colleagues immediately bought swimsuits and rushed into the embrace of the sea. The waves raised on the sea surface excited the colleagues. Some buried sand on their bodies, some chased the waves, some splashed water… A wave came, hitting a colleague, causing him to choke on some seawater. “It’s so salty!” he exclaimed involuntarily, causing everyone to burst into laughter…
We then set off for Xiandie Rock. Opposite Banping Mountain, on a cliff where the waves crash against the shore, there is a famous attraction - Xiandie Rock. It faces the sea with its back to the mountain. The mountain cliffs stand tall and imposing, with strange and rugged rocks, stacked and leaning against each other, seemingly about to fall, precarious, yet standing firm despite wind and rain. From different angles, it presents different shapes and effects. It may resemble a toad about to ascend to heaven, a scene from the Journey to the West, or a celestial being wearing a hat. One can imagine freely and find it interesting. From certain angles, these rocks fit together very casually and precariously, as if they might fall at any moment. Yet, on this windy and wave-swept cliff, they have remained motionless for countless years. This cannot but evoke admiration for the wonders of nature. Locals simply attribute it to the immortals, thus calling it “Xiandie Rock.”
“An overseas paradise, a different heaven, a short stay here is like being an immortal,” This is an ancient poet’s praise of Dongtou. Indeed, Dongtou is a well-deserved "sea paradise." Here, there is golden sand and blue sea, fresh air, pleasant environment, combining mountains and seas, picturesque scenery. Here, you can feel the charm of the mountains and the charm of the sea, and also appreciate the power of the sea; here there are reefs of various shapes, giant reefs are like strong pillars, resisting the erosion of the waves day and night, year after year, never stopping, just like the unchanging spirit of Haitong people, forever coexisting with the blue sky and white clouds. The footprints and laughter of Haitong people are left in this beautiful place.
On the way back, the colleagues were all tired, but their faces showed joyful smiles. After the dinner gathering, the employees returned to the company, and this trip ended smoothly and successfully. We will wholeheartedly devote ourselves to the development of the company.
