To carry on excellent traditional culture and promote the spirit of benevolence and filial piety, on April 14th, Zhejiang Haitong Communication Electronics Co., Ltd. was honored to invite Mr. Wang Kai, one of the "Top Ten Figures of Filial Piety and Kindness" in "Moving China," to give a lecture on "Filial Piety Culture" to Haitong's employees and guests.
To carry on excellent traditional culture and promote the spirit of benevolence and filial piety, on April 14th, Zhejiang Haitong Communication Electronics Co., Ltd. was honored to invite Mr. Wang Kai, one of the "Top Ten Filial Piety Figures" who moved China, to give a lecture on "Filial Piety Culture" to Haitong's employees and guests.

In the lecture, Mr. Wang Kai passionately shared his story of filial piety, along with his brother Wang Rui, of making a homemade human-powered cart named "Gratitude" to take their mother on a tour around the country.

With a resolute face and a simple dark jacket, he spoke with great vigor. At the "Filial Piety Across the Country" learning lecture held in the Zhejiang Haitong company activity room, everyone met Mr. Wang Kai. At over 70 years old, he appeared more energetic than his actual age.

Wang Kai Teacher Mr. Wang Kai told the filial piety learners at Haitong that he is from Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province. He served in the military in his youth and also worked as a driver for a company. To fulfill his father's wish and allow his mother, who suffered from motion sickness, the opportunity to travel around China's beautiful rivers and mountains and see the outside world, in 2007, he and his brother Wang Rui made a human-powered cart, which they named "Gratitude," and took their mother, who was over eighty years old, on a journey across China's mountains and rivers.

"My brother and I, I pulled in front, and he pushed from behind. After this event was widely reported, my brother and I were also awarded the title of 'Top Ten Filial Sons of China in 2011' by Shandong TV." At the launching ceremony, Wang Kai shared that from 2007 to 2010, the three of them traveled twice from their hometown, covering more than 30 provinces, over 1,000 cities, and 37,000 kilometers on foot. Therefore, their journey was also called "Filial Piety Across the Country".

Today, although his mother has passed away, Wang Kai Teacher has not stopped his journey of filial piety. He has changed his approach to promoting filial piety—lecturing. "Many people know our story, and invite us to share." Wang Kai Teacher thinks that this is a good thing, and he will continue to do it as long as there is a need. It is reported that Wang Kai Teacher has given more than 2,000 public lectures across the country.

"Family affection is like a powerful magnetic field that firmly attracts parents and children together. Only those who truly understand gratitude towards their parents are considered complete." Wang Kai Teacher also said that showing filial piety to parents is not for the sake of outsiders, but to allow parents to experience true happiness. It's not about how much children contribute, but about making parents feel how much they receive.
After Mr. Wang Kai's two-hour sharing, Mr. Li, the company chairman, went on stage to give a speech on behalf of all Haitong employees.

Mr. Li said that China has always been known as a country of etiquette, where filial piety is paramount and the foundation of morality. Filial piety is the basis of being a person, the root of morality, and a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation. It is the spiritual driving force for social stability and development. Parents not only give us life but also teach us how to live. It is parental love that teaches us to be strong, to remember tolerance, and guides us to grow. Therefore, we must carry on this filial piety and repay our parents and society with our own actions. While achieving our own life values, we should strive for harmonious families and ultimately work towards a harmonious society. These are the heartfelt words of all Haitong people.
After watching Mr. Wang Kai's moving deeds, from initial disbelief to complete conviction, Haitong's employees felt as if they had undergone a soul-cleansing experience, feeling enlightened. They eagerly raised their hands to express their own views on "filial piety".
While accepting the thanks of Haitong's leaders and employees, Mr. Wang Kai humbly said, "I'm really not a teacher; that profession is too sacred. I'm just a volunteer." Mr. Wang Kai's simplicity deeply moved everyone present.
In just two hours, after listening to Mr. Wang Kai's lecture, everyone was deeply moved and felt a profound cleansing of their hearts. In the future, we must learn to be grateful, grateful for today's happy life, grateful to Haitong for providing us with opportunities to learn and improve, and use our actions to show filial piety to our elders and give back to society. We will carry forward the traditional Chinese virtues, and be the creators of happy families and the builders of a beautiful Haitong!
